2nd update of the first week

On Wednesday I started with the second part of processing the sales orders. In this part I would actually fill in the waybill, and send the electronic invoice through the SIMU application to the ordering company. This is a bit more complicated than the first part, made so by the instructions being in danish, but Mads whose sitting next to me has been a great help.

At around 11 o'clock, we had 2 fitness instructor students come to the school and hold an half hour workout session for us. Sadly I have no pictures of my own, since I was taking part in the action. I met a girl named Sarah, who actually works in retail with me, but I haven't had a chance to talk with her before. She turned out to be very fluent in english, and we actually share a common interest in gaming, so we had loads to talk about.

After the sport session I started work on a presentation about me and Finland. I am to hold the presentation on Friday, when the whole of retail will be gathered to the auditorium for it. I spent around 3 hours on it, so I hope it came out good. I guess We'll find out on Friday.

Job center of the municipality, built into an old barracks.
From the hairdressing department
Thursday was also a driving day. We spent the better part of the day going around different and unions and work placement centers in Randers. We also took a trip to the main center of Tradium, which was huge. I got to see the hairdressing students and the barbers practicing in their salons. I was also able to talk to a couple of teachers, who welcomed me to Denmark.

Jane told me that the practice center, where I am spending my exchange, used to be situated in the main center of Tradium, but they had moved to the current location in autumn last year. Still, even though the practice center is not nearly as big as it used to be, its still much more spacious than back in Finland.

  1. Thank you for the great pictures! Yes, the practise center used to be located differently, but in your photos the place does seem very nice and spacious. What are your fellow students like? What age are they? Your English is very fluent - what about theirs? Can you manage a bit in Danish already? Nice to hear that you have made friends with the locals. Please tell us more about your presentation of Finland and yourself!
