The first weekend

The morning sun.
The flight to Denmark went pretty smoothly. I met a guy on the plane, whose connecting flight had been cancelled the day prior, because of the Finavia strike. We chatted about all kinds of subjects, and it really helped me to remove some of the stiffness of not having used english for a while.
The plane arrived to the Copenhagen airport ahead of schedule, so I had ample time to make my way to the to the train taking me to the central train station in Copenhagen. The locals were friendly and helped me to find my way around the stations. The train to Randers was on time, and I managed to find my cart and seat without too much effort.

The voyage from Copenhagen to Randers takes about 3,5 hours, so I had time to fill in some of the paperwork and catch up on some sleep. The weather was a bit foggy, but still nice and chilly.
Once I got to Randers, Jane from Tradium was waiting for me at the train station. She showed me where my apartment was, and introduced me to my landlord. After that we went around the city to see some of the points of interest, like the buss terminal and supermarkets.

Next morning I decided to go take a walk by the nature trail provided by Randers nature park. I had read they had some European bison on a field nearby, and very much wanted to see them. At first all I could find were empty fields, but behind one corner a view of them opened up.

These majestic creatures really put a smile to my face. After admiring them for a while, I went to finish the trail and headed to my apartment.

After having recovered from the morning walk, I decided to go familiarize myself with the surroundings, and spent a couple of hours just wandering around and looking at what the shops in the vicinity had to offer. Afterwards I went back to the apartment

Spent the rest of the day reading and chatting with friends from back home.
